Cap Gris-Nez Trail

Hiking
Cap Gris-Nez Trail

Twenty-nine kilometres, seven hours of walking. It is the longest of the eleven waymarked walks of the Terre des 2 Caps, and the most complete. It sets off from the church of Audresselles and heads for the point of France closest to England, whose shores can be made out on a clear day, barely twenty-eight kilometres away.

The path crosses the rolling countryside of the Boulonnais, through pastures, cultivated fields and traditional farms, before tipping down onto the coast. Three hundred and fifty metres of elevation gain build up over gentle climbs, almost without you noticing.

The trail is listed on the departmental plan of walking and hiking routes. Bring water, good shoes, and a whole day.
