Cap Gris-Nez

The closest point in France to England. Barely twenty-eight kilometres separate the Cap Gris-Nez from the English coast, which you can make out on a clear day, beyond the cargo ships of the strait.

The cliffs, the lighthouse, the long-distance walking trails and the blockhouses fallen onto the foreshore make up a powerful, wind-swept landscape. Access is free, and parking is at the site car park.
